Survey Introduction
The aim of this survey is to understand how teachers perceive, use, and reflect on artificial intelligence in their professional practice. This study is conducted as part of the Erasmus+ Teacher Academy project AI2PI – From Artificial Intelligence to Pedagogical Innovation. The AI2PI project enables educators across Europe to critically engage with artificial intelligence in their teaching practice. It brings together pre-service and in-service teachers, teacher educators, and research institutions to develop essential AI literacy skills that enhance the quality of education. The findings will inform research-based development of professional learning opportunities and practice-oriented learning modules for teachers across participating countries.
The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.
As part of the project, we are also establishing an AI Literacy Teacher Community of Practice. This community will offer opportunities for teachers to exchange experiences, discuss challenges from their pedagogical practice, and engage in collaborative professional learning related to the responsible use of AI in education.
This study is led by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Germany) as part of the AI2PI project by Prof. Dr. Ulrike Stadler-Altmann, Dr. Michael Schlauch, and Dr. Ole Engel. The survey is designed and carried out in collaboration with partner institutions in Finland, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Lithuania, and Sweden, including the University of Turku, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, University of Minho, Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol, Vytautas Magnus University, and Umeå University.
