Solution scanning - Remote Sensing for Land System Science

This survey is the basis for a solution scanning exercise for the GLP Working group Remote Sensing for Land System Science

Thank you for taking part in this survey on the role of remote sensing for Land System Science (LSS). This survey forms the basis for a solution scanning exercise we want to do in order to identify challenges and solutions for the use of remote sensing data in land system science.

The overarching goal is to understand how the LSS community uses remote sensing data and products, and which challenges and possible solutions it sees, both on an individual level but also for the discipline as a whole. The survey has six short sections: (1) your experience, (2) the role that remote sensing has in your research, (3) the data you use, (4) the challenges you see when using such data, and (5) potential solutions you can think of for these challenges. Lastly, (6) we have some questions to describe the group of respondents statistically. The survey will take about 15-20min, and you could see it as a (self-)reflection on the use of remote sensing for land system science in general, and for our GLP community in particular.

Participation is voluntary and your answers are recorded anonymously. Apart from the first section, all questions are optional, and you may stop at any time. By clicking “Next” you agree to take part.

If you have questions about the survey, please contact Matthias Baumann (matthias.baumann@hu-berlin.de) or Philippe Rufin (philippe.rufin@fu-berlin.de).

This survey is anonymous.

The record of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you, unless a specific survey question explicitly asked for it.

If you used an identifying access code to access this survey, please rest assured that this code will not be stored together with your responses. It is managed in a separate database and will only be updated to indicate whether you did (or did not) complete this survey. There is no way of matching identification access codes with survey responses.
